Services

Every program starts with a conversation about your dog: their history, what you've already tried, and what life needs to look like on the other side.

Board & Train

Your dog lives and trains here in a space set up to mimic a home, not a commercial kennel run. Daily structured training, exercise, and downtime. Because only three dogs are ever here at once, your dog gets multiple short sessions every day, and the work is practiced where it matters: around household distractions, doors, guests, and everyday life.

  • Daily training sessions, one dog at a time
  • Leash manners, recall, place, and household rules
  • Regular photo and video updates while your dog is here
  • A lesson at pickup so you can maintain everything

Best for: busy owners, new foundations, and dogs who need a full reset.

Specialty

Behavioral Modification

This is the work I'm known for. Reactivity, fear, resource guarding, and aggression aren't character flaws. They're behavior, and behavior can change. I build each program around your dog's specific triggers, at a pace that keeps everyone safe, with honest expectations from day one.

  • Leash reactivity and dog or human aggression
  • Fear, anxiety, and confidence building
  • Management plans for safety at home
  • Clear, honest assessment, with no false promises

Best for: dogs other trainers or programs have turned away.

Obedience Training

The basics, done properly: a dog who walks beside you instead of dragging you, comes when called, and can settle when life gets busy. Obedience is built into every board & train, and focused obedience work is available for dogs who mainly need polish and reliability.

  • Sit, down, stay, place, and reliable recall
  • Loose leash walking without the pulling
  • Door, greeting, and household manners
  • Proofing around distractions out in the real world

Best for: puppies growing into big dogs, and adults who never got the memo.

Boarding

Boarding in a setting that feels like home, with a trainer, not a crowded commercial kennel. My facility is laid out like a real home, so boarding dogs keep a structured daily routine with exercise, play, and rest. Dogs with behavioral needs are handled by a trainer who knows how. Training clients are especially welcome back.

  • An environment that feels like home, with a structured daily routine
  • Exercise and supervised play every day
  • Behavioral and reactive dogs handled safely
  • Updates during your dog's stay

Best for: trips and travel, especially for dogs who don't do well in big kennels.

About pricing: rates depend on your dog, the program, and the length of stay, especially for behavioral work, so every quote follows a free consult. No pressure and no obligation; you'll get a straight answer on cost and what results to expect.

How It Works

Three steps between you and a dog you can take anywhere.

01

Free Consult

Message or call and tell me about your dog: the good, the bad, and the embarrassing. We'll talk honestly about what's going on and whether I'm the right fit. With behavioral cases, that honesty matters more than anything.

02

Training & Updates

Your dog settles into a small, structured program that feels like home, with never more than three dogs here at a time. You get regular updates, so you can see the progress as it happens, not just hear about it at pickup.

03

Lesson at Pickup

Training only counts if it works for you at home. At pickup you'll handle your dog through their new skills yourself, with a clear plan for keeping the progress going, plus support after you leave.

About Ingwaz

I'm Hilary, and I own and run Ingwaz Canine Services. Every dog here is handled by me personally, never handed off to kennel staff. With 15 years of experience, I work out of a facility set up to mimic a home: a maximum of three dogs at a time, and no commercial kennel setup. Dogs settle into a routine that feels like home life, because that's where their behavior has to work when they go home.

My specialty is the dogs most people give up on: behavioral modification and obedience for reactive and aggressive dogs, alongside board & train and boarding. All breeds are welcome, the big, the strong, and the misunderstood very much included. The Cane Corso in the logo isn't decoration; it's the kind of dog I built this business for.

Common Questions

My dog is aggressive. Will you actually take them?

Yes. Aggressive and reactive dogs are the specialty, not the exception. It starts with an honest consult about your dog's history and bite record so a safe handling and training plan can be built. If a case is ever genuinely beyond what a program like this can handle safely, you'll be told that straight, too.

What breeds do you work with?

All breeds are welcome, including powerful and commonly restricted breeds like Cane Corsos, Rottweilers, pit bull types, and German Shepherds. Each dog is judged as an individual, never by the breed label.

How many dogs do you take at once?

Never more than three at a time. That's deliberate. That's what makes one dog at a time daily training, close supervision, and a calm environment that feels like home possible. It's also why spots fill quickly.

Are you accepting new clients, and where?

Yes. I'm now accepting clients in Frederick and surrounding areas. Use the form below or Facebook Messenger to book a consult or a stay.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the program, the length of stay, and, for behavioral work, the severity of the behavior. Every quote follows a free consult, and you'll know the full cost before you commit to anything.

Will the training stick when my dog comes home?

That's exactly what the lesson at pickup is for. You'll practice handling your dog through their new skills before you leave, get a clear plan for home, and have support afterward. Dogs keep their training when owners keep the structure, and you'll know exactly what that structure is.
